NASCAR Diversity Internship – Green and Innovation
The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) seeks the exceptional, the talented and the driven to contribute to its success as one of North America’s premier sports. Offering opportunities in various areas across the corporation, NASCAR encourages innovation and creativity on and off the track.
The NASCAR Diversity Internship Program (NDIP) is a 10-week, paid summer internship that targets diverse college students. NASCAR Diversity Interns contribute to the complex motorsports workforce; learn from leading NASCAR executives in weekly Lunch and Learns; and network with industry professionals.
Many participants secure full-time employment within NASCAR and the motorsports industry upon completion of the program.

What I will be doing…
As a member of the NASCAR Green and Innovations team, support the NASCAR Green Recycling Program, NASCAR Green website and have the opportunity to research and present ideas around new pilot programs to be tested in NASCAR. Responsible for data capture and input around waste diversion metrics specifically as it relates to the recycling program and generating new content and ideas for the Green website (www.NASCAR.com/Green).
Skills I need to bring to this role…
Ideal candidate will bring a genuine desire to work and learn about sustainability, specifically waste diversion.
Major Area of Study: Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, CSR
Courses and experience in: Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biology
Computer Skills: PowerPoint, Excel and any graphical program experience is a plus.
