Job Description

Sebring International Raceway seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Director, Business Development based in our Sebring, FL office.

 

The Director, Business Development is responsible for execution of the strategic sales plan to accomplish company goals.  Primary responsibilities include sponsorship solicitation, market research and analysis, formulating and executing a branding strategy, managing event and facility promotions as well as reaching advertising sales goals.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Responsible for Sponsorship sales, retention and fulfillment of National Sponsorships for Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as well as other events at facility.

 

  • Work with IMSA to create sponsorship packages and ensure fulfillment of agreements

 

  • Responsible for suite, hospitality, catering packages, and car corral sales and fulfillment for Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring

 

  • Responsible for creating new sales inventory for the facility

 

  • Develop and implement marketing collateral for the facility as well as the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring

 

  • Work with Track President and GM to create a ticket sales strategy for Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and other events at facility

 

  • Responsible for sponsorship and media promotions that will create awareness for Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as well as the facility

 

  • Responsible for creating and expanding track merchandise sales program

 

  • Responsible for collecting all monies generated through the Business Development department

 

  • Approximate travel 10%, including weekends.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

Directly supervises assigned part-time staff, if any. 

 

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 

 

Responsibilities could include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Other Qualifications                                            

Must be available to work some evenings and/or weekends.
