NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Manager, Partnership Marketing based in our Charlotte, NC office.
Responsible for delivering digital and social media value, counsel and content strategy to the company’s Official Partners as well as advertisers on the company’s digital and social media channels. Focus on defining and delivering against the goals and objectives of the company’s top corporate sponsors.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide high level, strategic social media support for the company’s Official Partners, including OEMs and entitlement sponsors.
Work closely with internal and external constituents to develop branded digital content that can help deliver value across all mediums with particular focus on social.
Develop, maintain and grow relationships, in conjunction with Partnership Marketing and Digital Media Sales teams, with Official Partners and advertisers, their marketing agencies and other key stakeholders.
Drive partner activation and creative concepts, utilize digital and social media to advance partners’ business with focus on industry marketing calendar.
Ideation, development, management, and execution of digital and social media programs and campaigns that help Official Partners meet and achieve various business goals and objectives.
Support digital and social media sales efforts including branded content ideation, oversight and management of content creation, execution, optimization and measurement.
Oversee and often execute branded content development leveraging relevant tools (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere and/or After Effects) and through working with the Production and Creative Design teams.
Develop best practice case studies to share with industry partners, clearly outlining how best to leverage digital and social media within the sport’s ecosystem.
Serve as brand ambassador for sponsors to develop strategic digital and social activation plans leveraging the sports and its fan base
Manage relationships with each of the major social platforms to leverage new technologies, collaborate on content development, and maximize reach.
Develop, manage, and execute social media programs and campaigns that help partners meet and exceed various business goals and objectives.
Track emerging trends, tools, platforms in social / digital; train and educate industry colleagues on social media best practices.
Leverage digital and social media analytics (in collaboration with the Analytics & Insights team) and apply key learnings to the series.
Maintain current knowledge, conduct regular research and monitor other sites (both sport and non-sport) for latest online innovations and technology.
Support internal and external digital and social media training and information sharing efforts including development of social media training documents and presentations for partners and internal constituents
Other duties may be assigned.
Non-traditional work week, including nights and weekends. 30-40% travel may be required, including weekends.
Qualifications include the following:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university and five (5) to seven (7) years of current experience in social media, content development and partner management and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience developing strategy and day-to-day management of communication activities and plans
Leader with strong cross-functional and inter-departmental integration and planning skills
Demonstrated experience working with senior level executives
Excellent writing skills and social media acumen
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Deep knowledge of and experience with social media content management and reporting platforms
Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking especially in the social space
Passion for digital and social media and using those disciplines to advance business goals
Experience managing partner relationships and proactively ideating around social and digital activations
Advance knowledge of all primary social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat)
Creativity and expertise in content strategy, development, creation and execution
Experience working with sports and entertainment properties
Experience working with video and design tools and software packages
Working knowledge of the racing industry preferred
