NASCAR Digital Media seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Director, Digital Ad Sales based in our New York office.
The Director, Digital Ad Sales manages a significant territory and client list based in the NY market. This person is responsible for monetizing NASCAR’s digital properties. The Director will identify a digital advertising sales strategy and business plan for their territory and sell programs to existing and new clients. The Director plays an integral role in contributing to the team’s sales revenue goal and advises senior leadership on strategic decisions designed to optimize and improve the company’s financial results and in building innovative programs for clients.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Prospect, source and close deals with brand advertisers and/or media agencies for advertising programs across platforms and disciplines including mobile, social, video, native and programmatic.
Utilize expertise in navigating media agency dynamics, as well as a thorough knowledge of campaign buying, digital media planning, pricing models, digital revenue operations, ad networks, trading desks and exchanges
Develop, manage and grow very senior client side relationships to maintain and grow revenue
Lead the internal team to develop new opportunities, ideas or partnerships to secure new client revenue and/or to grow existing brand advertiser digital revenue
Engage in exceptional client and internal communication and follow-up to provide a positive end-to-end client experience, from the initial contact through post-campaign results
Accurately forecast on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis actual and projected sales revenue
Act as the primary liaison with internal teams and external industry partners to develop and monetize unique cross-functional revenue opportunities
Identify opportunities for increased sales revenue through site packaging, pricing or enhancements
Travel: 40% including some weekends
Education and / or experience:
Bachelor's degree from four (4) year college or university required plus a minimum five (5) years of current entertainment or media ad sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient on all Company provided hardware and software. Strong working knowledge of Omniture, comScore and other analytical and researched-focus tools and software.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
IAB Certification in Ad Sales and/or Ad Operations preferred
Understanding of the interactive ad serving infrastructure and technology trends including, mobile, tablet, desktop, connected devices, etc.
Strong presentation skills and comfort level
Excellent communication skills
Ability to partner effectively with internal & external industry stakeholders
