    Job Description

    NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of HRIS Specialist based in our Daytona Beach office.



    The HRIS Specialist will assist with system maintenance, administration and report writing.   Performs data entry and analysis. Makes recommendations for process improvements, assists with streamlining and documenting processes. Acts as payroll back-up and performs other clerical/admin tasks as needed for the Pay Services Department.


    Duties include, but are not limited to:



    Data entry and auditing - ensures data integrity and assists with resolution of issues through research, communication, collaboration and problem solving.


    Systems maintenance – assists in the review and testing of HR systems upgrades and enhancements.


    Maintains systems tables, security.


    Process Analysis – evaluates current system processes and workflow and makes recommendations to streamline/automate.


    Documents system processes/workflows and creates related system training material.


    Onboarding Administration – performs document management, process enhancements, testing and reporting.


    Timekeeping (Asure Force) administration – maintains system tables, troubleshoots user issues. Evaluates scheduled upgrades – tests and communicates changes to team/users. Leads the system training initiatives.


    Cognos/Business Intelligence ad-hoc and scheduled reporting.


    Preparation of annual Worker's Compensation estimates and management of the annual Worker's Compensation audits

    Assists with HRIS projects as needed.


    Back-up for Payroll processing. This may include collection of time data, performing necessary pay calculations in Excel, importing and validation of time data, batch reconciliation and other related tasks.


    Maintains confidentiality.


    Various projects and ad-hoc reports, and other payroll accounting functions as requested by management.


    Less than 5% travel, including weekends.


    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 4 years combined experience and/or training in HRIS / Payroll; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Experience creating reports with an HRIS reporting tool (i.e. Cognos, BI, ReportSmith) is required.

    Intermediate to advanced excel skills are required.

    Ultimate Software experience a plus.


    Computer Skills

    Proficient on all company provided hardware and software. Experience with UltiPro, ADP, PeopleSoft, Kronos, eTIME, AsureForce, or other Timekeeping systems/HRIS preferred.


    Other Skills

    Analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure, confidential, people skills.
