    Job Description

    We are looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to join our Finance team in NASCAR’s Daytona Beach, FL office. This position is responsible for managing the consolidation and financial reporting processes as well as solving complex accounting and process issues. This role is also responsible for fixed asset accounting and reporting.

     

     Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    Manage all aspects of the external financial statement process which includes:

    • Identification of intercompany transactions that are required to be eliminated
    • Determine appropriate reclassifications required for proper financial statement presentation
    • Consolidation of financial results and preparation all required financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, equity) in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
    • Manage requests and changes to chart of account to ensure proper alignment with reporting

    Develop reporting to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis

     

    Review financial statement variances on a financial statement and individual account basis. Provide explanations to management for fluctuations compared to prior year and budget/forecast

     

    Manage fixed asset accounting to include the following:

    • Review monthly reporting associated with additions, disposals, sales and assets lives to ensure appropriate accounting
    • Review classification of expenditures as capital or operating
    • Review of monthly capital reporting
    • Regular capital meetings with project managers to update capital projects and forecast
    • Oversee depreciation budget and forecast process

     

    Participate in the accounting research for new transactions and determines the initial and recurring accounting related to transaction

     

    Manages the audit and interface with auditors related to financial statement matters. Assists in preparation and review of the audited financial statements and related footnotes in accordance with audit requirements

     

    Identify continuous improvement initiatives and implements solutions. Must be able to effectively manage projects

     

    Qualifications include the following:

     Master of Science in Accounting and a minimum of 7 years accounting experience. At least 3 years public accounting experience is highly preferred.

    • CPA or CPA eligible candidate required
    • Must have strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles including consolidations and eliminations
    • Must have experience with financial reporting systems. Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products with advance knowledge of excel is required
    • Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, ability to multi-task and work under pressure with tight deadlines
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
