    Job Description

    NASCAR Event Management seeks a talented professional to join us in the position of Part Time Sous Chef

    Responsible for assisting the Executive Chef with general duties, including food preparation, planning, service, dish washing, set up and tear down, trash removal, and other areas that may be of assistance to Chefs as assigned.


    Duties include but are not limited to:


    • Assist with food preparation for staff and guests within the confines of a mobile kitchen at each race location
    • Set-up kitchen equipment and dining area, serve food, clean up equipment and pack for hauling
    • Unload raw food product from vehicles to kitchen as well as transfer food from central locations on track to kitchen
    • Expedite hot and cold food from kitchen to buffet
    • Monitor and report food levels to Chefs throughout meal service times
    • Refill beverage items as needed
    • Maintain the cleanliness of buffets, beverage stations and dining tables
    • Disassemble and reset buffets and beverage station between meal times
    • Assist with cleaning, break down and loading of equipment, tents, tables, etc. on final day of event
    • 90% travel, including weekends.



    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of food services experience
    • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
    • Ability to stand on your feet for an extended period of time
    • CPR and AED training desired
