    Job Description

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Intern to join the International Motorsports Association in our Daytona Beach, FL office for the Fall semester.


    The IMSA Communications Intern will be responsible for assisting the Communications team in all areas, including writing, social media/website content, offseason media guide development, and media outreach.


    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Assist with the development of the 2019 IMSA Media Guide, including compilation of statistics and writing of driver/team bios
    • Compile media outreach guides for individual race markets
    • Pitch and follow up with local news outlets regarding offseason announcements
    • Write press releases and web stories; distribute releases using Constant Contact
    • Edit and post stories to website; editing photos using Adobe Photoshop
    • Post to IMSA social media properties, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
    • Maintain media lists within Constant Contact
    • Update PR contact list throughout offseason




    To qualify for this paid internship, candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year of college and must currently be an undergraduate or graduate student in good standing with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.


    Solid working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
