    Job Description

    SUMMARY

    American Flat Track Events is looking for a Ticketing Manager, under general supervision of the Event Manager, that will manage all aspects of ticket operation pertaining to customer service, ticket sales and operations, distribution of marketing materials, event preparation and execution, and financial, marketing, and sales reporting.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Manage and oversee ticketing for AFT Events
    • Work in current Ticketing Applications
    • Hire, train & manage event weekend Box Office Staff
    • Responsible for day to day ticket office operations
    • Responsible for issuing and reconciling all event box office windows
    • Maintain all timelines, checklists and event related documents
    • Ability to maintain spreadsheets and files - Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, Photoshop, Illustrator)
    • Work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Exhibit excellent phone etiquette and Customer Service skills
    • Build, monitor, and analyze event ticketing budget with a focus on revenue growth
    • Develop multi-level ticket packages and pricing
    • Develop affective marketing and promotions plans in relation to ticket sales
    • Assist AFTE/AFT team to develop a solid online and social plan for event ticket sales
    • Manage and maintain all AFTE event pages – website and social
    • Create and maintain computer data base for accounting/tracking the following: actual vs. projected sales for evaluating marketing strategies; program sales performance and spectator attendance for each event; complimentary tickets and promotional tickets.
    • Establish process and benchmarks to measure revenue performance
    • Prepare reports relating to promotion, marketing and sales goals, efforts and results daily
    • Attend yearly event ticketing seminars/shows

     

    Percent of travel required: 20%, including weekend travel.

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Directly supervises assigned staff.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    OTHER SKILLS

    Experience working in a ticketing department at a managerial level if possible and/or has a good amount of on-site ticket sales operations/sales and management.
