The Competition Technology Technician IV will Research, design, build and operate the multi-loop scoring system. Design, build, and implement application specific hardware and software solutions for Competition Technology.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   - Responsible for the research, development design and implementation of technology for the collection and distribution of data for NASCAR events.   - Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts   - Design and Prototype systems and circuit boards to manage key Competition systems   - Research new technologies as required by Racing Operations and Competition   - Ability to write software, understand API’s and SDK’s   - Understands SQL Server   - Design, Build and support trackside caution light systems   - Repairs cables and other related equipment as needed.   - Uses a logical approach to solve technical issues.   - Trains scoring system technicians on SOPs.   - Operates the systems to provide the most accurate information to the end users.   - Monitors, diagnoses, and troubleshoots connectivity between NASCAR Technology Center (NTC) and Race Control.   - Keeps detailed and accurate records of situations, problems, repair items, etc. and routes to the appropriate level or person to be handled as archived. Must follow-up on submittals to ensure action is taken.   - Monitors main and backup scoring systems simultaneously to ensure all systems are in sync.   - Assists technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.   - Diligently monitors multiple systems, maintains radio communication, and provides information as requested by the Chief Scorer or tower.   - Performs routine maintenance on systems.   - Drive Company vehicles as needed.   - Approximate travel required: 70%, including weekends.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE   Associate degree (A. A.)Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Technology or similar discipline is preferred or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience   Must have formalized training and/or experience in networking and computer technology.    Must be able to: - Use hand tools of the trade correctly and safely, including multi-meters, screwdrivers, wire cutters and soldering irons.   - Create, Read and follow SOPs, flow charts and technical drawings and schematics.   Experience includes: - Electrical engineering background - Any programming languages. - Network design and administration. - Signal distribution. - Wired, RF and fiber optic cable.   Experience with or ability to use more complicated electronic test equipment, test programs and specialty tools such as coaxial crimpers, phone plug crimpers, pin & de-pinning tools, etc.

IMSA seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Part Time Track Services Coordinator. This position is a position that travels to race events.   During caution periods on the track, the Track Services Coordinator becomes the IMSA liaison for Track Services who, with guidance from race control personnel, helps to ensure that on-track procedures proceed smoothly and correctly.   Responsible for helping to train and actively observe Track Services personnel in on-track extrication in addition to performing vehicle rollover response when necessary.    Duties include but are not limited to:   - Observes on an active race track during periods of caution (yellow flag) and red flag track incident scenes; acts as a liaison between IMSA Track Services and the safety crews at the track during these times. - Responds to and actively participants in all accidents on-track involving a “roll-over”. - Pre-inspects race facilities to ensure adequate supplies, services and personnel are available within Track Services. - Trains, develops and maintains a high proficiency of IMSA procedures. - Trains and works with track fire, rescue, towing and restoration personnel. - Inspects IMSA fire, rescue and extrication equipment at track. Supervises and services the equipment. - Inspects the track's fire and rescue equipment, towing equipment and track clean-up and drying equipment daily. - Conducts daily Track Services meetings with the safety crews at the track. - Provides training modules and updates. - Assists with maintaining updated presentations for Track Services. - Participates in pre- and post-event conference calls with facilities.   Required skills / experience: - Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a professional firefighter or paramedic with extrication experience. - Ability to travel 100% including weekends. - Ability to travel to a minimum of 7 races per year with 5-6 days of work per race, including travel. - Ability to speak to groups and train individuals on safety procedures. - EMT Certification preferred. - Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) certification preferred. - CDL license a plus. Daytona International Speedway seeks part time event workers in the position of Tram Driver.  Tram Driver is responsible for driving trucks and/or tractors that pull trams on an assigned route. Additionally a driver may be assigned as a van or bus driver for a designated route. All drivers must have a valid Class A, B, or C CDL with Passenger endorsement with current physical. Drivers must pass a Motor Vehicle Report before being considered.   Tram Drivers are only used during specified events during the race season, and will be assigned shifts based on needs by the Guest Services Department.
